Your elected officials want to hear from you!
You may feel nervous about contacting elected officials, but hearing from constituents is incredibly important to these decision makers. When calling or writing your representatives, be sure to be direct and to the point, and let them know exactly what issue you are concerned about and how you want them to address it. When speaking in front of public meetings, be sure to register ahead of time and follow any time limits and regulations for addressing the council or committee.
City of Fort Worth
We commend the City of Fort Worth for several projects that have extended into the northwest portions of the city and have positively impacted our area. The roundabout at Old Decatur Road and Marine Creek Road has significantly enhanced traffic flow, and the traffic signal on Bailey Boswell Road in front of Boswell High School has considerably improved student safety. A roundabout at WJ Boaz Road and Bowman Roberts road has also improved traffic flow. We are grateful that the City has identified additional projects and that the May 2022 bond program was approved by voters with 67% of support. This type of planning is so important for the future and we know these improvements will have as much of an impact as the projects already completed in our area. Major arteries like West Bailey Boswell Road and Cromwell Marine Creek Road will get sidewalks and lighting as part of the bond program approved by Fort Worth voters, and other areas will be positively impacted as well.
Contact your local lawmakers to let them know how you feel about these issues.

Tarrant County
We applaud the City of Saginaw and City of Blue Mound for their commitment to creating safe passageways for all citizens. The Bailey Boswell Road project, which addresses traffic flow and safe access from Old Decatur to Texas 156, is an example of local government making a positive difference in the community. The road expansion, sidewalks, and traffic signals all contribute to a safe and inviting community. We would like to see additional improvements throughout Tarrant County with support from city and county governments to make these projects a priority.

I support #Connect4Safety in calling for safe passageways for pedestrians and motorists alike. Saginaw, Fort Worth and greater Tarrant County have seen tremendous growth over the last several years, but our roads and sidewalks have not been expanded or improved to accommodate the significant growth we are experiencing.
I support #Connect4Safety in the common goal of improving safety on our roads, streets, and sidewalks, ensuring a safe passageway for school children, improving the ability to walk and bike safely from home to resources in the community, and to have infrastructure that supports our vibrant, growing community.
I reached out to my elected officials in support of #Connect4Safety! Roads and accompanying safety features in Fort Worth and Tarrant County are simply not adequate to serve our growing population. Our children and their families need a safer way to move about the community!
